Ingredients:
1 cup of European-style butter (you can use regular or local butter as well)
1/2 cup sugar
1 1/4 cup light brown sugar
1/4 cup dark brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 1/4 cup Daisy Bread Flour
2 1/4 cup Daisy Pastry Flour
1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
2 cups good quality chocolate chips or chunks
1 cup nuts (optional)
Preheat oven to 350° F.
In bowl of an electric mixer, cream together butter and sugars until thoroughly combined (about 2 minutes). Add eggs one at a time until they are combined, then add the vanilla. At this point do not over mix. With mixer on low, add flours, baking powder and baking soda in 3 batches until just combined. Add chocolate & nuts and mix in by hand; be careful not to over mix the dough. Scoop out dough with a tablespoon and place the dough balls on a baking sheet. Cook for 8-10 minutes, depending how gooey or crisp you like them. If you are making the cookies bigger or taking them directly out of the freezer, add more cooking time.
Makes about 18 two-ounce cookies
