Buttermilk Biscuits

Yields: 10-12 biscuits

Ingredients: 2 cups Daisy pastry flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon soda
3 tablespoon fat (butter or lard)
1 cup sour milk or buttermilk

Directions:
Sift dry ingredients together
Cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs
Add sour milk all at once
Stir until dough follows spoon or fork around the bowl
Turn out on floured board and knead 1/2 minute
Roll 1/2 inch thick and cut with biscuit cutter
Bake on ungreased sheet at 450 degrees for 12 minutes
